Mission Statement

To provide oral and maxillofacial surgery with integrity, compassion, and excellence.
You will be treated with kindness, concern, and consideration. As someone who has chosen us as one of your healthcare providers, you are very important to us; and we want you to know that we truly care about you.

Background Information

Oral and maxillofacial surgery is a specialized field of dentistry that addresses a wide array of issues relating to the mouth, jaw and facial regions.  Our field requires additional 4 to 6 years of training and education beyond dental school.  Dr. Parmer and Dr. Macholl have both attained MD degrees, and have undergone hospital-based training in the safe administration of Intravenous (IV) sedation and general anesthesia.  Alliance Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery provides full range of oral and maxillofacial services, with expertise in everything from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery.  Our doctors also reconstruct jaws, repair facial trauma, and address oral pathology.

Surgical Staff

At Alliance Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, we couldn't do what we do without the assistance of our top-notch surgical support staff!  All of
our associates are experienced, and hold all the necessary certifications to function as surgical assistants, including assisting in the administration of IV sedation and surgery.  Our front office staff are well versed in all the financial aspects of our business, including insurance coverage.  Plus, our entire staff is CPR certified.

Scheduling and First Visit Information

Alliance Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is open Monday–Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, and Friday 8:00am to 2:00pm.  If you are in pain or have a dental emergency, we will do our very best to see you that day.  Please call us at 817-741-2200 with any questions or to schedule an appointment.

 Your First Appointment

When you come in to see us for the first time, we'll start by evaluating your condition, explaining your diagnosis, and proposing different treatment options.  In some cases, we can perform some surgery the same day as the consultation.  Typically, though, a patient's medical history and/or treatment plan will require an evaluation at the first visit, then another appointment for the actual treatment.

You can help us out tremendously by having the following ready at the time of your consultation:
  • A surgical referral slip and x-rays (if any)
  • A complete list of your medications, including OTC
  • A valid photo ID
  • Completed Patient Registration forms
  • Your medical and dental insurance cards
IMPORTANT
All patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation visit.

If your procedure involves IV anesthesia, please do not eat or drink anything for eight hours prior to your surgery.  All sedated patients, regardless of your age, will need to be accompanied by an adult to drive you home.

X-Rays

If your dentist has taken x-rays, we would appreciate you having them forwarded to our office.  Our front desk coordinators will follow up with your provider's office.  Additional digital images can be taken at our office.
