David E. Parmer, DDS, MD
Meet Dr. David Parmer
Dr. David Parmer, DDS, MD, grew up in the west Texas town of Levelland and attended Texas Tech University. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 1991. After finishing dental school, he served as a dentist in the US Air Force for three years. His first year, he completed a general dental residency at Langley AFB in Virginia. His last two years, he served as a general dentist at Dyess AFB in Abilene.
Dr. Parmer then returned to San Antonio for his oral & maxillofacial surgery training. He received his Doctor of Medicine at UTHSC-SA in 1997. He then completed his general surgery internship at University Hospital and his oral & maxillofacial residency at UTHSC-SA.
He is the past President of the Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Parmer is a diplomate (board certified) of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
He is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
He is a member of the Fort Worth District Dental Society, Texas Dental Association, American Dental Association, North Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Academy of Osseointegration.
Dr. Parmer contributes to programs for the underprivileged, including the Save A Smile program, Texas Dentists for Healthy Smiles, and Texas Donated Dental Services. He has participated in several medical missions to Mexico.
Dr. David Parmer is married to Dr. Fariba Parmer, who is an optometrist. He spends his time with their twins, Layli and Evan.
